A circle beard connects the moustache to a rounded chin beard, forming an even ring around the mouth; everything outside the ring is shaved. Most wear it between 5 and 15 mm. It needs about three weeks of growth before the ring can be cut in cleanly.
Who it suits
The rounded outline softens hard, square jaws while the chin coverage lengthens round faces, so it works from both directions. You need solid density around the mouth, but the cheeks can be as patchy as they like. On a long, narrow face the ring adds still more length, so weigh that first.
Trim the ring to one even length weekly and shave the cheeks and neck every couple of days. Symmetry is the whole style, so check both sides in the mirror before you put the trimmer down.
